Privacy Policy
Last updated : August 26, 2026
The Bridal Edit is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why, how we use it and what your rights are. It applies to the thebridaledit.app website as well as to the associated apps and services.
1. Data controller
The controller of the data collected on this website is Félix Fernandes, sole trader (micro-entrepreneur), publisher of The Bridal Edit. For any question regarding your personal data, you can contact us at hello@thebridaledit.app.
2. Data we collect
We only collect the data necessary to run our services:
- Waiting list: your name and email address, when you sign up to be notified of the launch.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the subject and the content of your message.
- Account creation: your full name, email address and password (the password is encrypted and is never accessible to us in plain text).
- Paid subscription: the billing information needed for payment is processed directly by our payment provider Stripe. We never store your card details.
- Audience measurement: website traffic statistics (pages viewed, referral source). Overall traffic is measured anonymously, without cookies and without ever storing your IP address in plain text.
- Data you enter in the app: information about your business and your own clients that you record in the tool (see the dedicated section).
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process your data for the following purposes, each based on a legal ground under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Providing our services and managing your account: performance of the contract.
- Notifying you of the launch if you joined the waiting list: your consent.
- Responding to requests sent through the contact form: your consent and our legitimate interest in replying to you.
- Handling payments and billing: performance of the contract and compliance with our legal and accounting obligations.
- Measuring and improving website audience: our legitimate interest for anonymous measurement, and your consent for identified measurement that sets a cookie.
- Ensuring the security of the service and preventing fraud: our legitimate interest.
4. Cookies and audience measurement
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. We use a limited number of cookies:
- Consent cookie (tbe_consent): strictly necessary, it remembers your choice to accept or refuse audience measurement. It does not require your consent.
- Audience measurement cookie (tbe_vid): set only if you accept it, it helps distinguish visitors and measure traffic more accurately.
5. Recipients and processors
We never sell your personal data. To provide our services, we rely on providers (processors) selected for their security guarantees, who may process certain data on our behalf:
- OVH (OVHcloud): hosting of the website, servers and database, in France.
- Stripe: secure processing of payments and billing.
- Google: routing of our emails (Google Workspace), display of fonts (Google Fonts), optional calendar synchronisation (Google Calendar) and, where applicable, audience measurement (Google Analytics).
- Adobe (Adobe Fonts): display of some of the website's fonts.
- Resend: email delivery service used as a backup when our primary delivery service is temporarily unavailable.
6. Your clients' data
When you use The Bridal Edit to manage your business, you record information about your own clients (for example their contact details and the details of their bookings). For this data, you are the data controller and The Bridal Edit acts only as a processor: we host and process it according to your instructions, without using it for any other purpose.
It is your responsibility to obtain, where necessary, your clients' consent and to inform them of the processing of their data.
7. Transfers outside the European Union
Our servers and database are located in the European Union. Some of our providers, in particular Stripe and Google, may process data outside the European Union, notably in the United States. In that case, these transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards compliant with the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
8. Retention periods
We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described:
- Account data: for the entire duration of your account, then deleted or anonymised after it is closed.
- Waiting list data: until the service launches or until you unsubscribe.
- Contact messages: for as long as needed to handle your request.
- Billing data: kept for the period required by our legal and accounting obligations.
- Audience statistics: kept in aggregated and anonymous form.
9. Security
We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data: password encryption, secure connections (HTTPS), restricted access to data and hosting with recognised providers.
10. Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal data:
- Right of access: obtain a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure: request the deletion of your data.
- Right to restriction and right to object to processing.
- Right to portability: receive your data in a reusable format.
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
11. Complaints
To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@thebridaledit.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) or with the supervisory authority of your country.
12. International users
The Bridal Edit is available worldwide. Wherever you are located, we apply the data protection principles described in this policy, which is based on the GDPR, one of the most protective frameworks. If the regulation of your country grants you additional rights, you can contact us to exercise them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our services or in applicable regulations. Any significant change will be indicated on this page, whose last update date is shown at the top.
